HTC today unveiled two new smartphones, One M9+ Aurora Edition and Butterfly 3 at an event held in Japan. The One M9+ Aurora Edition has priced at $630 approx Rs 41,600 while the Butterfly 3 has priced at $600 approx Rs 39,900. Starting October 15, they would be available in Taiwan & as on now there is no news about India availability.

HTC One M9+ Aurora Edition is almost indistinguishable to the previous One M9+ smartphone without some rises in the camera section.

HTC One M9+ was earlier started in April this year in India for Rs 52,500. It has armed with a 20-megapixel Duo rear camera with f/2.2 aperture and an UltraPixel front camera of 4 megapixels. In contrast to it, HTC One M9+ Aurora Version comes with the 21MP camera with f/2.2 aperture, built-in optical image stabilization and laser-guided autofocus. It also includes phase detection autofocus to enhance further the camera’s focus.

It runs on a 2.2 GHz MediaTek Helio X10 (MT6795T) Octa-Core 64-bit processor with PowerVR G6200 GPU which has coupled with 3GB RAM. The phone has 32 GB of built-in storage, and its expandable storage slot can hold a Micro SD card of up to 2TB.

The device with the 21-megapixel rear camera comes with dual LED flash, f/2.2 aperture, 26.7mm lens, 4K video recording & an ultra pixel front-facing camera. It runs on Android 5.1 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI on top. It comes with a fingerprint sensor & is backed by a 2,840mAh battery. The phone measures 150.99 x 71.99 x 9.61 mm & weighs 168 grams.

On the connectivity display, the smartphone offers 4G connectivity with the WiFi 802.11 b/g/n, A-GPS & GLONASS, micro USB port and Bluetooth.

On the other hand, HTC Butterfly 3 features 5.2-inch (1440 x 2560 pixels) Quad HD display. It runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 810 Octa-Core (quad-core 2.0GHz + Quad core 1.5GHz) 64-bit processor with Adreno 430 GPU. It comes with the 3GB RAM, 32GB internal memory, expandable memory up to 2TB with the microSD card slot.

It sports the 20-megapixel Duo Camera setup with dual LED, dual tone flash along with the 13-megapixel front-facing camera. The HTC Butterfly 3 runs on the Android 5.0 Lollipop OS with HTC Sense 7 UI on top. It has packed with a 2700mAh battery and supported Qualcomm’s Quick Charge 2.0 technology.

Connectivity choices include 4G, Bluetooth, WiFi, GPS/ A-GPS, GLONASS, GPRS/ EDGE & NFC. The phone standards 150.99 x 72.99 x 9.99 mm & weighs 161 grams. The Butterfly 3 is IPX5 & IPX7 certified for water and dust resistance.
